Item:  A Fine American 14K Multi Color Gold Hunting Case Pocket Watch CASE.   I believe this style case is called a box hinge or box jointed case. The case has the crystal bezel but there is no glass crystal. Maker:  Inside of outer case is marked U.S. Wc. Co. Warranted 14K U.S. Assay 10074.  Inside of inner case is marked 14K 10074.  This was made by the U.S. Watch Company.  The U.S. Watch Co. of Waltham was based in Waltham, Massachusetts and operated from 1884 to 1905.  It was later sold to E. Howard watch Co in 1903. Measurements: Approx. 2 ¼” Wide x 2 1/3” High x 4/5” Thick.  The Diameter of watch movement opening without the bezel is approx 1 4/5”. Weight:  Approx.   66.7 Grams with the anti magnetic ring. Description:  This watch case is decorated with a large deer or stag.  Full gold floral decoration is applied to the watch case.  The case is decorated with beautiful engraving which covers the entire watch case.  Even the edge of the case is fully decorated.  Review the photos for some good close up details. Condition:  Overall in fine condition. The engraving is crisp.  The hinges work well and snap tight.  There are no dents or repairs on this watch.  This would make an excellent case for one of your fine movements.  Please note the top section near the stem area.  Photos are provided to show the pendant.  The pendant screw is present.
