The repeater mechanism is activated by moving the slide at the 8 o'clock position. When the repeater function is activated, the figures on the front "bang out the time." This beautiful watch is truly unique. On the front of the watch one of the more unusual features is the fact that there are 3 moving angels, each using a hammer to strike out the time. The figures on the front of the watch are silver and gold in color. The front of the watch depicts 3 angel figures. The 3 angels strike the bells to sound the time. The figure on the left strikes each hour. The other 2 figures strike the quarter hours. On the reverse of the watch, there are also 3 figures, but they are not exactly angels. The scene on the reverse exhibits a gentleman "engaging in romantic activity" with his lady friend, while a "peeping tom" makes periodic appearances in the window! When the repeater function is activated, you can see and hear the figures on the front and rear in action. The watch is running and all functions are working.
