LOOK at my sister company auctions here, for great savings classic rides , cars, motorcycles and other fine collectables **Have you heard about the Microsoft Cashback promotion? Maximum of 6 transactions per eBay account of $200 max in Microsoft rebates.  That is a total of 1200.00 back. Anyone with an eBay and PayPal account may participate.  Microsoft is promoting their search engine at Live.com.  They want you to go shopping after doing a search from their LiveSearch engine.  Many internet stores are partcipating, offering various amounts of cashback rebates.  eBay's participation in the program has its own special set of rules and you can read them thoroughly: http://pages.ebay.com/cashbackoffer/terms.html?_trksid=m37  On the eBay/Microsoft program, the current Cashback percentage is 10-25% of your purchase price, excluding shipping.  The percentage has varied over time, but recently has been steady at 15%.  Check it out by using the instructions below and you will see what the cashback percentage is today here on eBay. You won't see anything on eBay about the Microsoft Cashback program until you have visited Live.com and done a Live Search that leads you to eBay.  It makes no difference what you initially search for on LiveSearch, as long as the results of the search yield an eBay entry that shows the Microsoft Cashback logo and the current percentage rebate amount.  One search we know gives the desired results is "Platinum Coin".  Once you have entered eBay through LiveSearch, you will see a MicroSoft Cashback logo at the top of the page.  Note that "cookies" must be allowed, so be sure your cookie filter is turned off if you use onel at least for eBay while you are Cashback shopping.  Now, you can read the special set of terms for eBay participation by clicking below the logo.  While slightly confusing in places, the rules boil down to this: 1)  Each eBay account is eligible to partcipate in three Microsoft Cashback "Sessions".  The maximum rebate is $200 per item and one item per session...$1200 max per account. 2)  A "Session" begins once you enter eBay by doing a search on LiveSearch that shows the MicroSoft Cashback logo.  It lasts for one hour or until you complete a purchase.  During a "session", the Microsoft Cashback logo will appear at the top of the eBay page, whether you are logged into your eBay account or not. 3)  Once the session has begun, you have an hour to use all your normal internal eBay searching methods, such as "Watched Items" and all standard eBay search facilities.  Find the item you want to buy.  Only items that are listed with a Buy-It-Now and only items which you pay for through PayPal are eligible for Cashback.  Vehicles and Real Estate items are excluded.  After each qualifying purchase, allow your "session" to end.  You will see the MicroSoft Cashback go away.  I've noticed it goes away right after you make your purchase.  You don't have to pay to end the session.  To begin your next qualified "session", just do another search on Livesearch and come back into eBay that way. 4)  The rules for multiple-item listings are a bit confusing.  After several chats with eBay Live Help, I was able to determine the correct interpretation.  If your objective is to maximize your rebate and get the maximum $200 per purchasing session, but you want inexpensive items, you can buy a quantity of items from a multiple-item auction and run your total purchase up to the $800 level (gets full $200 rebate if rate is 25% at time of buy) etc.  The total price is the amount you get the rebate on; the buy counts as one item in one session even if you buy 50 $20 items, for instance.  One the other hand, if each item of a multiple-item auction is expensive and gets you your desired rebate amount with quantity of one, just buy one per session!  You may come back under a new session and buy one more from the same auction.  And then repeat for a third item.  In this case, you want to use three separate buys, each in its own "session" (each preceeded by a fresh search into eBay from LiveSearch). 5)  eBay leads you through the buying process with nice little reminders that tell you you are on-track and doing it right.  When you click "Buy-It-Now" on your item, for instance, even before you go to the next step and actually commit to buy, you'll see the logo and they'll calculate and show your eligible cashback amount.  You can see this before you commit to buy, just so you know you are on the right track.  When you pay, always use eBay's checkout links "Pay Now" and, remember, PayPal payment is required.  You will again see the Cashback Logo and rebate amount as you go through the various PayPal payment screens.  They keep you confidently reminded all the way.  After you finish paying, you'll get an eBay message informing you that you have a cashback reward.  About 24 hours after your PayPal payment clears, the Cashback Rewards will show up on the Live.com site.  You need to fill out a very short form and become a member there (free email account and other features...oh boy!) to get your own Cashback Rewards page. So...that's the basic deal on the eBay/MicroSoft Cashback Rewards program.  Microsoft's general rules can be found at the Live.com website under item 17 of the standard Microsoft User agreement here: http://help.live.com/help.aspx?project=tou&mkt=en-us  Notice, particularly, a couple of items there of interest to bullion buyers: 1)  The Microsoft rules pose certain restrictions, such as no buying items from yourself, no buying items for resale, and a few others.  They pose no restrictions on how much the maximum rebate is per item or how many times you can use the program...those limits are imposed by the individual retailer participants (eBay in this case). 2)  Both the Microsoft rules and the eBay rules clearly agree that, in the event of a conflict between the two sets of rules, the individual retailer's rules prevail.  This means each outlet sets its own overriding rules.  The eBay rules specifically override the Microsoft rule against buying for resale, so that limitation is not applicable to eBay deals.  We hope that reading about the Microsoft Cashback program here will help you understand it better and take full advantage of this great situation for eBay buyers!  Thanks for reading.
