Inside back-plate states: Z.L.SAATDJIAN & S.BEGUIAN I believe these are the jewelers that did the fine engraving job on the case. I also believe they were based out of Wien (Vienna) Austria. GRAND PRIX ELECTION BERNE 1914 PRECISION CHRONOMETRIQUE I believe this refers to the swiss made mechanism, stamped 1914 maybe for the year it was made. Though the watch is stamped 1914, it may not be from that exact year. I estimate the watch was custom ordered by my great-great uncle sometime between 1914 and 1934. Both the back and front inner sides are stamped "18K". The outer design on the back is very fine and of excellent quality. It depicts what appears to be a shield with 5 roses. The outer design on the front is also an excellent example of fine work. It depicts what appears to be a slightly different design of a shield and incorporates the familiar 5 roses as well. This used to belong to my great-great uncle. A very unique piece of jewelry.
