SOLID 18CT GOLD47mm Slim Art Deco *LONGINES * *1911* Gents 18.89M calibre pocket watch Classic timepiece in fabulous condition!   Case: Solid 18ct Gold Swiss made case in excellent condition. Clean classic lines and slim proportions with little to no sign of wear. No modifications, repairs or external personal inscriptions. The hinges are all tight with no play and the case opens and closes nice and firmly. The case has clear 18K Swiss assay marks to all cover as well as the pendant and bow. The case and movement have the same serial number of 2656761.                Dial: This is the original matt silvered engine turned dial with bold black Roman Numerals and the original blued steel moon hands. Condition is 99% mint as can be seen with just a couple of very light age commensurate surface marks. Please see the images and contact me if concerned. Neatly signed LONGINES. The crystal is a replacement.   Movement: The movement is Longines popular 18.89M calibre 17 jewel Swiss lever escapement with fire gilt plates, bridged winding gears and cut bi-metallic compensated balance.  The calibre number 18.89M is clearly marked to the plate by the balance and the serial number 2656761 to the main bridge. This serial number dates the watch to 1911-1912. The movement is currently winding and running well with a good beat and keeping excellent time.  This watch has come from a large collection and may benefit from a routine service for optimum future performance.   Size: the watch measures 47 in diameter excluding the stem or 55mm to the top of the winding crown.
