This watch is stem wind and lever set. The serial number 1382916 dates this fine old watch to 1899. It is housed in a triple hinged Silveroid watch case. The case shows signs of use,but still looks good,and all hinges and catches work good. The porcelain dial looks good but has a chip by the 12 which is partially hidden by the bezel,and the thick beveled glass crystal has a few minor surface scratches.  The 21 jewel adjusted movement looks great,but I always advise to have the watch serviced by a jeweler,for continued service. This watch was in storage for quite awhile,but when I wound it,it started right up,and has been running  for several days now,here on my desk. This is a very nice old Hampden railroad grade pocket watch.  Please look at the photos,check my feedback,and ask questions,if you have any.
