A beautiful railroad grade Waltham Vanguard early series,  year 1920, Wind indicator in gorgeous condition!   It is housed in a near new looking Keystone railroad model case with virtually no wear to it....no brassing at all and the etchings on the sides are still deeply cut showing little if any wear. The heavy, mineral glass crystal has no scratches that I can see and the dial and hands are in excellent condition.Marked Lossier Inner Terminal Hairspring, 23 jewels, adjusted 6 positions the movement shows virtually no jewelers marks or spotting and winds, sets and runs very well, keeping good time. The wind indicator functions as it should. The damaskeening on this movement is much more ornate than later models and is quite beautiful.This would make a wonderful addition to any collection and is a rare find.PS... Looking at the photos I just noticed that several of them show what might be mistaken for a scratch on the winding wheel....It is an eyelash that fell onto the wheel as I was photographing it! Please excuse my clumsiness... Shugarts lists this watch with the Lossier hairspring at $1500 in mint condition and $1150 in extra fine.
