Pocket Watch - Nice NR' Description This auction is for an Elgin, 6 size, 7 jewel, 14K solid gold hunting case pocket watch. The case is very nicely engraved and weighs 29.2 grams or 18.8 dwt. (without the movement). The case back depicts a sailboat on a lake and the cover has a unengraved monogram plate. The case is in very nice condition and opens to just about 90 degrees. The porcelain dial is in mint condition. The movement is currently not working. The balance will turn but stops after a several rotations. The watch is fully wound and I would guess the reason it is not working is because of the mainspring. The watch has been in storage for several years and should be cleaned and oiled. This is just an absolute fantastic pocket watch that is in very nice condition and with a little work will be an even much better pocket watch. The watch comes with the original Elgin felt pouch that it has been stored in for years. This is a no reserve auction. Buyer to pay shipping.
