Elgin Watchmakers Antique Pocket/WW Parts cabinet #2 Factory Stocked Elgin Cabinet & 10 Vintage Watches..NR Start Price USD 220.00 Current Price USD 320.00 Time Left - Bid Count 5 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, September 06, 2008 End Time Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Location Central South See more about ' Elgin Watchmakers Antique Pocket/WW Parts cabinet #2' Description         Please Read Everything Before Bidding            This Elgin Watchmakers  Cabinet is in top shape......There are  Factory blued hands,,,staffs...roller jewels etc....loaded with mainsprings in order and in packs....also the tan envelopes in big drawer on left are factory parts and marked but not yet put in bottles....Out of 336 bottles there are 94 empty or missing but of those 21 are not charted anyways.and never had any parts...........        This set was found in error in a big packed box by my brother and didn't even know it existed.....I don't have as much time as before so I am letting it go as found with watches.....This watch maker hid watches in everything he had....kind of like a Easter egg hunt every box I open......These all look complete...but  all Look  Swiss and most are odd in dial...shape or name..too much to research.....you do.......... have fun....seeing one like I do...1 case is silver..........all as found...most have crystals...I shook every one and none seem to start up...some I can't open...             .If your a true Elgin guy this selection will cover alot...for awhile...and you now have a clean  ,...orderly way to keep organized....and these are the large bottles...unlike the smaller ones in wood drawer sets......                      The actual truth about this set it is some of the last sets you will ever see...old watchmaker remains... which use to go to the remaining watchmakers are being separated and scattered about and in the next three years most will be gone.....the old watch makers from the 60's when pocket watches  died,and companies closed...now are in their 80's and 90's...you will never see almost untouched stuff sooner than you think.....               This covers all Elgin watches from 18 size to Wrist............This is their  Last Master Cabinet before they went to the Blue color  metal cabinets but by then were almost all wrist stock with a very little bit of pocket stuff          It has three Drawers...........somewhere in 1940's.....................It is 10 in by 13 1/2 in by 6 in tall approx..There is one charts for  bottle 501 to 668 in a drawer..                      Missing the chart for drawer 2 but I sold a similar set item 350083589805....just a little ways back on feedback....and I'm sure he would send you a scanned copy from his same set.......The mainsprings are marked...or if you have a brown Elgin Manual all the parts are there.......         ................The item weighs 22 pounds with everything and will weigh closer to 26 pounds packed....we will ship anywhere 48 continental USA for Free ...we use tracking and insure and send you Tracking info day mailed which is always the next business day......
