At the time this watch was made, I would dare say that Charles Frodsham was Internationally recognized on the best watch makers on the planet. He was well known in the States and understood the desire for highly jeweled watches by Americans, which was contray to what most English makers were producing at the time. When this watch was made, there were just a handful of American watches made in the states with 20 jewels, Waltham's highest grade watches, the American Watch Co.'s Model 72 was not in production at the time and the first run consisted mainly of 18 jewels examples. This hi-grade KW KS movement is in Excellent running condition. The fusee powered movement has 20 jewels and is regulated with lever escapement, the guilding is original and is absolutely gorgeous. The Original dial is numbered to match the movement and has the original finish, to the eye, it looks wonderful, but it does have a hard to see edge chip at 58 min. and a short H/L at 32 minutes, no other issues that I can see.
