The movement is signed Elgin Natl atch Co USA Safety Pinion 15 Jewels & has the serial number 12766231. To set the hands you have to pull out a lever as illustrated by the picture of the dial, it's down near the 5 o'clock position & to wind you simply push it back in. The case is gold plated but in good condition considering the age of the watch & is nicely patterned both fron & back. The back is double cased & signed 'Philadelphia Watch Cse Co' witha 20 year guarantee. To open the front you depress the winder & it springs open as it should. The dial is enamel with black Roman numerals & red arabic numerals smaller  on the outside of the main Roman ones, it is signed 'Elgin', there is a hairline that passes through the centre. It has blued steel hands. The approximate diameter of this excellent watch is 53mm. Should you require a closer look at this watch please ask & I will send you the higher resolution photos. In the case of vintage timepieces I class 'reasonable time' to be anything within 3 minutes in a 24 hour period. I test many of my watches at the same time & look for anything outside of this so quite often they are better than 'reasonable'. I will however be happy to test any watch more accurately on request.
