This lot contains a very nice Swiss pocket watch, made for the American market, stem wind, lever set, 44mm dial plate, stem wind, lever set. The watch has nickel bridges with damaskeening, bushing set train jewels, a gilt train with a steel escape wheel, and a bimetallic compensating balance with “Timing and Quartering” screws, and a flat hairspring. The enamel dial is good, no crack, no chips and no hairlines. The dial has line minutes with Roman hours, the “Spade” hands are good. Both the movement and dial are signed, “Mermod Jaccard & Co. St. Louis, Mo.” This lot is offered for the value of the parts it contain or for repair. This is a nice quality movement that should be of interest to the collector of Mermod Jaccard contract watches. We will sell this exactly as we have found it in the watchmaker’s movement cabinet.
