The reason for the sale of this superb watch is that its value precludes wearing it on a daily basis. My guess as to a live auction estimate for this piece would be $95,000. Indistinguishable from new - "Officier-style", astronomic, center seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, platinum gentleman’s wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases, retrograde date and a platinum Patek Philippe deployant clasp. Included is a setting pin, custom winding box and outer box, original tags, plastic envelope, long box with instructions and the original Patek Certificate. The case is a four-body, solid, polished, hinged case back over transparent crystal to view the movement, rounded band, rounded bezel, straight lugs with white gold screwed bars, sapphire crystals. The dial is white with painted radial Roman numerals, concentric, retrograde sector for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months, the leap year and the moon phases. Black oxidized gold "feuille" hands. The movement is Calibre 315/136, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 31 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, free-sprung Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, 21K gold rotor.
