The item is a watch pendant.  It was created in the USSR (Union of  Soviet Socialist Republics) at a time when the post modernism movement was enabled a breath of "free air" to express some of the most startling bold and expressively powerful linear lines in art form which ranged from architecture to auto design; from poetry to jewelry; and onto the serendipitous musical notes of Telstar's mantra. The 50's post modernism era was alive and well in the USSR and the newly launched modernistic  satellite not only beamed the telstar notes back to earth but the notes  hummed with a spirited creative flow effecting every segment of art in a land prohibiting the individualized expression of such.  The watch pendant exemplifies the expressive creative genius of a small group of that era and from that place.The watch itself  is set within a bold, sleek stylized triangle shaped frame measuring 1.5" vertical and 1.25" horizontal.  The frame features its bold curved angles and stepped-up beaded edged borders encircling the brilliant multi-faceted amber crystal dome.  Back side section of frame is flat and solid.  By pushing a solid "control" button near top center, the watch frame springs open to reveal the perfect bevel glass cover guarding the splendid 21 jeweled ZARJA watch.   Watch is in PERFECT working condition and features its trademark "ZARJA",  "21 Jewels," and "Made in USSR".   Wind key is top center and aerodynamically situated at both bottom segments is the classically designed hinged chain loop.  Depth of watch from apex of crystal to back center is 1/2".Chain measures 21",  is secured closure with spring clasp, and segmented at one inch segments in serpentine lateral pattern.  BRILLIANT!Weight of Watch Pendant is 30 grams.  Composition of frame is solid steel with gold overlay.  All hardware is gold plated as is chain.Watch laces through its original chain and rests at center of breastbone which is the perfect length to simply bring it upward, push release button, and view time.
