The balance also comes with a temperature compensation curb. The repeat mechanism is activated when a gold pendant button is lifted up, turned and then depressed. The repeat sounds from finely designed steel hammers on inner gongs. The inner cuvette is signed “Challie-Egeley” and it is beautifully engraved. The case is finished with beautiful leaf and swirl patterns and background engine turnings. A reeded pattern decorates the rim of the elegant case.
