The white-enamelled face is clear and has a seconds hand. It is marked "Improved Patent" and "English Lever". The back of the case has an engine turned pattern with a central cartouche.  The inside of the case is hallmarked with the Birmingham hallmarks for 1891. These are repeated inside the inner cover.  The movement is inscribed "J.W. Bloom, Sunderland ", with a serial number. The watch has been overhauled and is in good working order.
