It is a Paulson of Chicago bottled assortment to which some additional jewels have been by a watchmaker over the years. There are also some bracelet balance friction hole and cap jewels. The roller jewels are for both wrist and pocket watches, although just from glancing at them I'd say that the pocket watch roller jewels are mostly for double roller movements (i. e. they're mostly shorter than the typical roller jewel fo 18 size single roller movements). Here is rough idea of what the assortment entails by bottle numbers (note: the diameters and lengths generally both increase as the bottle number increases, so I will give only occasional size info. Many bottles are simply identified as "Misc." There are probably more jewels in most of the bottles than I can see with ease.): #1- dia. 28 length 50 (3 jewels), #2 (1 jewel), #3 (2 jewels), bottles 4 through 6 all have contents, #7 looks empty, #8 dia. 26 length 80 (3 jewels), bottles 9-11 are empty, #12 (3 jewels), #13-15 have 3 jewels each, #16 is empty, #17-19 all have 1 or more jewels, #20 is empty, #21 3 jewels, #22 dia. 28 length 110 has 12 or more jewels, bottles 23-25 all have a 10 or so jewels in each, #26-30 all have 1-5 jewels in each, #31 empty, #32-40 all have 2-5 jewels in each, #41 is empty, #42 (I think, the label is missing) dia 46 length 120 has 1 jewel, #43 (? missing label) has 1 jewel, #44-46 have 2-8 jewels in each, #47-51 are empty, bottles 52 through 72 are listed as "misc." and most have contents of from 2 to as many as 12 jewels, bottles 73-76 are empty, #77 is misc. 90 (12 jewels), #78 misc. 110 (about 20 jewels), #79 misc. 120 (about 7 jewels), #80 misc. 80 and under (about 25 jewels), #81 misc. mostly 120 (about 20 jewels), #82 about 8 jewels, #83 is empty, #84-89 are listed as 6/0 to 18 size and have contents of about 5-6 jewels in each. That's about it for roller jewels. The rest of the assortment is about 37 bottles of bracelet balance friction hole and cap jewels. There is an index card included and also the original drawer, but not the cabinet for the drawer.As a rough guess I'd say that there are problably well over 300 roller jewels in this assortment.
