Of substantial construction. The case is mint apart from light surface scratches and will polish like new. Fully stamped with the Chester 9ct gold hallmarks for 1909 and the case maker's mark TR. The front cover flips beautifully to the vertical, as it should, on depressing the top button. Glass is missing. The fully signed porcelain enamel dial is mint and the original blue steel hands are similarly superb. Original, damascened, pendant-wind Swiss lever movement in mint condition. Of very high-quality with screw-set, jewelled pivot settings and micro-regulator. Fully signed Thomas Russell & Son Liverpool. In good running order but would obviously benefit from a clean due to the length of time this fine timepiece may have lain idle.
