VINTAGE 9ct Gold Pocket Watch Dated 1940 WORKING Start Price GBP 15.95 Current Price GBP 112.00 Time Left - Bid Count 16 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Wednesday, August 20, 2008 End Time Saturday, August 30, 2008 Location Gosport, Hampshire See more about 'VINTAGE 9ct Gold Pocket Watch Dated 1940 WORKING' Description PLEASE READ MY Terms/Conditions, MY FULL DESCRIPTION AND LOOK AT ALL THE PHOTOS BEFORE BIDDING - THANK YOU :>)  as this saves time and hassle with returning items!   I have up for auction today a VINTAGE 9ct Gold ZENITH Manual Wind Pocket Watch Dated 1940 *WORKING*   This is a very tidy and nice looking 9ct Gold Pocket Watch indeed as you can see by the photos.   This very fine timepiece is manual wind and I have wound it up and it has been working fine for the past 24 hours, however this is a vintage pocket watch selling as a collector's item and due to its age, it may still require time-keeping adjustment or servicing.   However this is a wonderful 9ct Gold Pocket watch and quite slim-line too.   The face/dial is very clear and the numbers are black with the 3, 9 and 12 being the prominent numbers.   The actual dial is a champagne colour and reads:-  Swiss Made.   There is also a smaller dial to show the seconds ticking away.   The glass/dust protector cover is in good order with no chips or cracks.   The casing on the pocket watch has no fancy designs, but in my opinion it does not need any!!   Upon opening the back casing of the pocket watch it is hallmarked and dated as follows:-  9ct Gold (Grade 375) the Leopards Head representing it was assayed in London and the date letter 'E' denoting the year 1940.  (the top loop of the pocket watch is also hallmarked).   There is also a number which reads:-  16460.   On the plating which protects the mechanism of the pocket watch it reads:-  ZENITH 3053977.  I believe this is called a ¾ Plate.   This fine collectable timepiece measures 4.6cm in diameter (5.8cm in length including the loop) and weighs 47.1 grams.   This 9ct Gold ZENITH Manual Wind Pocket Watch would make an exceptional and most excellent addition to your personal collection!!   I have chosen to have this 9ct Gold Zenith Pocket Watch sent/posted via First Class Next Day Delivery with Full Insurance for UK Buyers and First Class Internationally Signed For Air Mail with Full Insurance for Overseas buyers.   ***MAGNIFICENT and OUTSTANDING VINTAGE BARGAIN**   All of my items are described to the best of my knowledge and I do try to give as much detail as possible.    Please ask me any questions if you are unsure about anything regarding my item.   I would like to receive payment immediately or within 5 days of your winning bid.    If you have a genuine problem with making payment PLEASE get in touch with me I am a reasonable person.   When Bidding on my item please note that ALL of my items are carefully and very well packaged for their journey through the mail system.    Please make sure you have taken note of the package and posting costs for UK residents and some Overseas Buyers will be notified of costs for postage and packaging upon invoicing.   ALL my items are sent by First Class 'Recorded Delivery' for inside the UK (British Isles) and First Class Royal Air Mail for Overseas unless asked for the item to be Insured.    For ALL Overseas Buyers I will obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' as proof of posting, which I will be glad to pass on to you if the package should be lost,  however I DO NOT ACCEPTABLE RESPONSIBILITY for any lost items unless you have requested insurance.   I will be happy to combine postage and packing costs for multi purchases.   My P&P charges are inclusive of Postage AND Packing Materials (NOT just postage costs).   I prefer payment via Paypal Worldwide, however I will accept Postal Orders and Personal Cheques from UK Bidders (Please DO NOT cross the Postal Orders!).   If overseas buyers wish to pay by 'Money Order' it MUST be in 'British Pounds Sterling' and NOT US Dollars as I DO NOT accept any other currency!!!   Please do not bid if you do not intend to honour your bid and purchase the item.
