Elgin pocket watch is running and keeping very good time. Upon inspection and servicing this pocket watch is very much original. Porcelain dial shows rather large black hour markers with small red minute markers above each hour marker. Sub second dial has small black Arabics in ten second intervals. Dial looks really sharp but does show a hairline above the sub second dial running from the 57 second marker to 5 second marker ( hard to see without a loop). The blue steel whip style minute hand and spade style hour hand as well as second hand are in excellent condition. Plastic bevelded crystal is NEW. Elgin pocket watch is pendant wind and set which works properly, with crown showing little wear. Serial number 18831290 dates this 12 size 7 jewels grade 311 pocket watch to 1915. Gilded movement is signed: ELGIN NAT'LWATCH CO. U.S.A. SEVEN JEWELS DOUBLE ROLLER. Movement is housed in a gold filled case that reads: WARRANTED B&B PEER 20 YEARS. Font and back covers screw on/off properly and tight. Case shows no dings, dents or brassing. Back cover is monogramed with the letters I believe to be CPD ( I am not 100 percent sure ). Bow is firm. Overall a very nice, pretty much original pocket watch that once was someone's valued treasure. Buyer to pay $ 10.00 for priority shipping and insurance.
