THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WATCH THAT WE HAVE SEEN IN 50+ YEARS... Here is a fantastic Art Deco era lady's diamond pocket watch.  This watch is made with 14k unmarked white gold, and is covered with 140-150 diamonds.  The diamonds cover the top, sides, back, loop, stem and frame of the watch.  The loop has 4 nice sized diamonds.  All of the other diamonds are smaller and rose cut, not diamond chips.  The watch's outside edge and handle and loop are elegantly lined with rose-cut diamonds.The back starts with a filigree flower and grows. The watch is in good running condition.  The numbers are labeled in roman numerals, and the hands are very delicate.    The serial number is the same on the works and the case:  114927.The face of the watch is about the size of a quarter, and is marked J.C. Grogan and Co.  The works are also marked J. C. Grogan.  J.C. Grogan was a jewlery store in the Pitsburgh area, known for selling only the finest jewelry. We know the owner of this fine piece, helping us to date it to about the early 1900's.  Unfortunately, I do not know who made the works, or the fine diamond case. J. C. Grogan name search brings up Tiffany & Company, Cartier, and Patek Philippe while searching old auctions and diamond pocket watches.  Additionally, I have found one other watch that is very similar to this one that made by Audemars Piguet that is why i think they made it.again marked J. C. Grogan. There is a little shield with a "s" inside, so it could be possible that this could be an indicator as to the company that had made the watch works.  Someone said the case may be made by Jeannot & Schiebler of New York  for J.c.Grogan co. Again I have not found a watch even close to this . I am hopeing the serial numbers help in your search.114927 case and works both marked that.
