The watch measures 5 cm ( 2 inches) across.  The case, hinges and glass are all in very good condition.  The white-enamelled face is clear and in excellent condition. It is inscribed James Reid and Company Est. 1879, Swiss. The back of the case has an engine-turned design with a central cartouche.  The inside of the case is marked .935 J R & Co with a number and Swiss hallmarks.  The .935, number and hallmarks are repeated on the inner case. All-in-all, an attractive and usable watch.
