Description
Vintage Elgin hunter case pocket watch with 10K gold filled tooled watch case. This watch was owned by my grandmother and was a Christmas gift to her engraved: Mrs. C.M. Kline Dec 25 06.  It has a gold Keystone Watchcase, serial number 7558110 on the outer and inner portions, the inner case is stamped Guaranteed 20 Years J Boss and 58110 is stamped on the outer rim. Actual watch movement serial number is 12209938, which properly dates the watches origin and it winds properly and functions perfectly. Has roman numeral numbers with red 5 minute designations and small 3/8" second hand circle. It is listed as a class 320, HC model 2 and Os 7 jewel, and the measurement seems to be 1 1/4" to 1 3/8". The outer case has a beautiful tiny super fine knurled finish with a bird of paradise/floral design tooled into the case which is slightly different on either side. The case hinges are tight and open a full 90 degrees, front lid spring opens easily and winding pendant and ring are  perfect. There are some very minute and barely noticeable unless magnified scratches on the outer rim and dial, otherwise the outer case has a brilliant and bright luster. Inner cases have some scratches and it appears that someone rubbed off some of the gold on the dial front case to test for gold content. Inner watch movement was observed while running and it appears to be perfect and totally unblemished. I am not a dealer or collector but I have tried to provide as much detail and info as I could find about this fine timepiece.
