I purchased this item at an estate sale and a family member told me that it was presented to his father in 1956 for 25 years of service at United States Steel. The watch is a Westclox Pocket Ben. I was told that the USS medallion is Sterling Silver, but it is not marked as such. The watch is not working, but I removed the back and when you movement the escapement wheel, it tries to keep going.
