(See below)   10K GOLD (RGP) "WITTNAUER" POCKET WATCH   This beautiful vintage WITTNAUER pocket watch is in wonderfully clean and polished condition, with no brassing to the 10K rolled gold plate finish and a nicely aged original, unrefinished dial.   All photos were recently taken and show the actual timepiece and movement. In examining the images, keep in mind that the timepiece is greatly magnified to show detail, and therefore age-related blemishes on the dial or case are likewise magnified and much more noticeable in the photos than “in person”. If you’re satisfied with what you seen in the photos, you’ll be that much more pleased with the actual watch!   Bold Arabic gold applied numerals and classic gold ‘plume’-style hands accent the dial of this classic timepiece, completed by a large-size subsidiary second dial with gold second hand.   The relevant dimensions by digital caliper include:   Case diameter, without bow and stem-winding crown: 44.5mm Length with extended bow: 55mm Subdial diameter: 14mm Movement diameter: 36.5mm   The movement is signed “Wittnauer Watch Co. Inc., Swiss, Unadjusted, 15 Jewels” and is in sparkling condition. Wittnauer was known for assembling its timepieces in the U.S. incorporating distinctively Swiss movements for their quality. It is rare that you will see a vintage movement this pristine. The movement winds and sets exceptionally smoothly, and is keeping a very respectable rate of time. It has a power reserve of approximately 32 hours although your mileage may vary. The crown is firmly seated as is the bow.   An absolutely wonderful collectors piece for those who appreciate these little marvels.
