The movement is 18 size, Hunter, Model 83, 15 jewels, stem wind, lever set, P. S. Bartlett. This movement has gilt plates, blue screw heads and a bimetallic compensating balance with a tempered blued steel hairspring with the “Breguet” overcoil. The movement has micrometric adjusting with the patented regulator. The movement winds and sets correctly and is running, but will need service before daily use. The dial is an 18 size, 24-hour, Hunter case, and multi-Color enamel pocket watch dial. This dial is O’Hara quality and style with the colored scene at the center. The dial is not signed, “O’Hara”. Still any person who recognizes the quality of O’Hara pocket watch dials will surely appreciate this dial. The dial has Railroad line minutes with Gold dots at the 5-minute mark. The minute track Chapter ring is Pink enamel. The Roman hours are under bell shaped golden arches, linked by golden flowers at the half-hour mark. This is a 24-hour dial with the Arabic numbers 13 to 24 in black, below the Roman numerals. The dial inside the arches is white enamel. Inside the 24 hour track is a hillside scene, with green grass and plantings, and a pine tree bough with green needles and brown pinecones. At the center is a framed scene. Inside the frame is a blue sky with white billowing clouds, a hillside, a tree and grass. The dial is in excellent condition but we see a faint hairline between 12 and 1 o’clock. The dial is signed, “A.W.W.CO. Waltham”. The dial has dial legs at 16 ¾ minutes, at 36 ¾ minutes and at 54 ¼ minutes. Take the time and look at the pictures they will tell the story.
