ORIGINAL ENGINE-TURNED CASE   Very sharp, crisp, deeply engine-turned screw-back/back case cover, matching screw-back bezel cover, reeded outer case rim.  Covers screw on and off easily.  Engine-turned back case cover centered by an ornate uninitialed cartouche featuring a fancy vine-and-scroll border.  Back side of cover has a plain, shiny mirror-like finish.  Engraved, "WARRANTED   14 K   25 YEARS   6849807".  Jewelers marks indicate this fine railroad pocket watch has been professionally serviced and maintained over the decades.  No monograms or inscriptions anywhere.  Original bow is firm, no loose play, maintains positions at all angles.  Original crown has smooth winding action. Case has no dings, no significant scratches, and no brassing. Like a case having minimal usage. ORIGINAL SIGNED DIAL   Signed "WALTHAM" factory bright, double sunk white enamel dial.  Very crisp black Arabic hour chapters.  Red 5 minute marginal Arabic numerals.  Recessed auxillary seconds dial displays black Arabic numerals at 10 second positions. No edge chips, no flakes, no scratches, no blemishes.  Reference photo enlargement for very faint hairlines seen only with magnification.  Located at 4, and between 8-9 o'clock hour chapters, 4& 8mm in length respectfully.  Original spade style hour and minute hands generously reflect original blue iridescent shine.  Original near mint raised heavy bevelled curved glass crystal.
